7475 Aluminium Plate

Supplied to specification AMS 4202

7475 aluminium plate is most widely available in T7351 condition according to specification AMS 4202 and the Bombardier BAMS516-002 specification.

7475 aluminium offers approximately 40% higher toughness values than 7075 and finds use in applications where this is of importance, such as aircraft wing spars and fuselage bulkheads.

About 7475 Aluminium

Classed as a controlled toughness alloy, 7475's corrosion and fatigue resistance capabilities compare favourably with other high-strength aluminium grades in aerospace engineering. The alloy should be considered for aerospace applications where high strength, resistance to fatigue propagation and higher toughness are requirements. 7475 also benefits from solid corrosion resistance characteristics, high electrical conductivity and strength retention in sub-zero temperature environments. The alloy loses strength in elevated temperature service.
